A senior official of the company said that ICICI Lombard General Insurance is expected to sign a MOU with the Punjab government sooner for a health insurance scheme for farmers in the state. The scheme has the coverage of over 10 lakh families through the farmers´ self-help initiative Sanjeevini, K Bharathan, National Head-GSG and Liabilities, ICICI Lombard, said. In this scheme, 15 per cent of the premium would be borne by the beneficiary, 15 per cent by Sanjeevini and the rest by the state government. The annual premium per family would be in the range of Rs. 550 to 570.
