Pasty Riley is the new leader hired by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota to lead government program division. At Eagan-based Blue Cross, he served as senior vice president of government programs. She worked as president and CEO of Stratis Health in Bloomington for six years. Stratis, a nonprofit focused on improving health care value, holds the federal contract to serve as Minnesota´s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.
She also served as a senior-level position in government programs with Allina/Medica, United Healthcare and Aetna. Riley also worked at Altcare, where she developed the first prepaid medical assistance program in the country, Blue cross said. Blue Cross President and CEO Colleen Reiten said "Patsy´s background and energy makes her the perfect fit to lead and grow for this division".
