Medicare is a centralized program that provides health insurance to retired individuals, regardless of medical condition. At the age 65, who is receiving social security benefits will automatically be enrolled in Medicare. If you decide to delay retirement after 65 you have to enroll in Medicare at the age 65, because the enrollment is not an automatic one.
Member of Medicare will automatically receive mail from the Social Security Administration, usually several months before your 65th birthday and becoming eligible for Security retirement benefits. Medicare consists of two parts. Hospital insurance and Medical insurance are the parts of Medicare.
