The main identities of health insurance are Managed care and indemnity plans.Indemnity is more flexibility than a managed care, but we have to pay more for indemnity coverage. In the indemnity plan, we have an option to choose the doctor, hospital etc.When you look for medical care; you will have to pay the extra charges called a deductible before your coverage will kick in. The policy amount varies from hundreds to $1,000 dollars or more. Indemnity plan requires co-payment on medical care and this plan pays only for illness or accidents.
Managed care is reverse to indemnity plan. In the managed care, small amount of co-payment, preventative care is usually covered and deductibles are smaller amount.
